Closed my eyes, and blindly chose a bottle out of the wine cooler. Looks like the Las Vertientes Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva 2011 will be joining our company this late afternoon. Relaxed on the patio and slowly sipped on the wine for hours until it got dark. Throughout the hours, the Cab was very enjoyable to sip and have a conversation over.
The region of Argentina is one of our favorites to experience. So, this review may be slightly bias to others who are Cab drinkers or your pallets. Let us know what you think!
NOTES: Dark red appearance, close to a dark cherry color. Pleasant oak and smokey nose, with dark fruit notes. The first sip set the bar for the wine to be very drinkable and after a couple hours of letting the glass air outdoors, bold flavors opened up more. I believe the wine could be aged a little more, but it was nice just as we had it. Medium tannins and dark fruits. Full bodies and rich with flavor. Had a hint of spices at the finish.
